Product Design Pillar Lead, Design Foundations

March 2022 - Current | 2 Years, 7 Months

  • Created the Design Foundations program at Asana including all horizontal design teams, reporting to the Head of Design.

  • Hired/promoted leaders or managers for Design Systems, Accessibility, Visual Experience and Content Design programs.

  • Founded the Visual Experience design program to drive higher quality visual design with the product org. 

  • As part of Product Design leadership, enabled a successful design system, drove product-wide quality initiatives, delivered 
on crucial accessibility milestones, and led 0-1 design vision programming across R&D and Design orgs.

  • Concurrently maintain the role as Frameworks Area Lead for Design: senior-most design lead responsible for Design Systems 
& Accessibility Design programs. Oversaw successful product design accessibility remediation efforts in 2023. 

Creative Director

June 2021 - March 2022 | 10 Months

  • Co-led creative and brand direction for Asana. Senior most manager, reporting to Head of Product and Chief Marketing Officer. 

  • Managed 5 manager/leads — a total team size of 21 including motion, copywriting, core, campaigns and interactive teams. Hired Head of Copywriting, Head of Core Brand.

  • Created web-based brand guidelines while operationalizing departmental goals and streamlining creative process.

  • Concurrently maintained responsibilities for Interactive Design Lead.

Interactive Design Lead / Manager

Sept 2020 - Dec 2021 | 1 Year, 4 Months

  • First-ever Design Lead responsible for the design of all Asana.com web properties, reporting to the Creative Director.

  • Managed 3 Individual Contributor (IC) reports. 

  • Created the first web-based component system to translate static web properties to dynamic CMS templates.

  • Managed growth web design program, generating millions in organic revenue.
